The best travel job she´s ever had was to be flown
to Polynesia with the top brass of the cruise line and spend a week
doing a reccy of the area for a new ship – that entailed swimming with
the dolphins, rays and sharks, exploring remote atolls with the
islanders in their hand-made canoes, checking out diving sites,
helicopter flights over the forest, jet-ski safaris along the coastline
and hiking in Bora Bora and basically
sampling all that is Tahiti. It
was tough but someone had to do it!
Trudy Anne moved to Mazarrón in 2002 when her daughter Georgie was only
a baby and this is where they hope to call home for many happy years to
come.
She´s worked presenting local tv news on Popular
Television and ran an estate agents for a few years before “La
Crisis” came along. She makes cakes to order, works as
a free-lance interpreter, teaches and has even officiated at local
wedding! (but wasn´t impressed when people started calling her Trudy of
Dibley).
Her daytime job is as a financial controller at the Oceanographic
Institute on a bluefin tuna project.
Home is a 100 year old finca that she´s been lovingly restoring for 7
years now – home to her and Georgie and a whole host of pets!.
As for the radio show, she says:
“Woo-Hoo! I am so happy to be involved with Costa
Cálida International Radio Station!.
Join
me for some upbeat humour, some original new show features to keep you
smiling and Just Great Songs.”
