Originating from Liverpool, I went into entertainment on leaving school
at 16, and became a Bluecoat at Pontins Holiday Camps both in the UK and
Pontinental abroad which I did for 5 years. I then trained as a Silver
Service Waiter, Grill Chef and Hotel Manager. After a spell I decided to
train to become and qualifying as a Hairdresser. I spent 8 years in
Corfu, Greece, where I used to cut hair on the beach during the daytime
(hence ¨The Snip¨), and in the afternoons I had a radio show on Corfu´s
Life FM. Then, in the evenings I would entertain around the bars and
clubs of the the Island. I left Corfu to work for an entertainments
agency which took me to Majorca and Cyprus as an Entertainments Manager.
I was head hunted in Cyprus by an agency that both trained and supplied
entertainers for Thompson Holidays whom I went on to join as
Entertainments Advisor, having 22 hotels to look after in Majorca,
Minorca, Ibiza, Costa Del Sol, Tenerife, Cyprus, Rhodes and Corfu. I
eventually went back to work in Cyprus to manage the entertainment for 2
hotels and an apartment complex, where I also had a morning magazine
show on the hotel radio. Due to ill health, I returned to the UK, but
found the climate totally unsuitable. So, along with my wife Vicki,
moved out to Puerto de Mazarron on the 1st April 2006 and joined Costa
Calida Internatinal Radio that same month
...................................the rest as they say is history.
