STEVIE T
Hi, My name is Steve Tucker, host ot the Stevie T Morning Show.
SPONSORED BY THE MARKET TAVERN AND BEST OF SPANISH,
I was born in Manchester in 1954, and brought up in an area of Manchester called Bradford, this area is now better known as the home of Manchester City FC (Eastlands). After being educated at the local primary and grammar schools, Bradford, I went on to take up an apprenticeship as a printer.
Mr first foray into entertainment was as a junior DJ at my local Youth Club. In the early 1970´s, I got an interesting lunchtime job in one of Manchesters' most (in) famous clubs at the time, 'Mr Smiths'. collecting the clothes after the lunchtime strippers !!! , then secured a spot for the evening cabaret and disco, Introducing and working with some of the best disco stars of the early 1970's, (George McRae, Jimmy James and the Vagabonds and The Drifters). When Mr Smiths closed down in 1974, I formed Sounds Superb Mobile Disco in Manchester until I left and went to Jersey in 1976, where I met my wife Mandy in 1977 in one of the local disco's where I was working. We married in 1979 and had 2 children. I reformed Sounds Superb Mobile Disco in Jersey in the 1980's and then progressed to Sounds Superb Entertainments Agency in 1996, supplying Singers, DJ's, Karaoke etc to the local hotels and bars.
We left Jersey in 2001 and came to Mazarron. In October 2004, I replied to an ad´in one of the local papers for a presenter for the new English speaking radio station which was going on air later that year. I secured the position and became the first live presenter on Costa Calida International Radio in November 2004. The next years saw the station go from strength to strength and led to being the first compere for the newly inaugurated Mazarron Beach Festival in 2005 and again in 2006. I, amongst others, organised the Guatamala appeal in November 2005 and raised a tremendous amount for this worthy cause.
Late in 2006 brought the change in Management of the radion station from the previous Spanish owners and have proceeded to take it to another level where the local radio station serves the needs of the local community.
Many more projects are planned for the future, so as they say .............................´´WATCH THIS SPACE"

STEVE THE SNIP
Originating from Liverpool, I went into entertainment on leaving school at 16, and became a Bluecoat at Pontins Holiday Camps both in the UK and Pontinental abroad which I did for 5 years. I then trained as a Silver Service Waiter, Grill Chef and Hotel Manager. After a spell I decided to train to become and qualifying as a Hairdresser.
I spent 8 years in Corfu, Greece, where I used to cut hair on the beach during the daytime (hence ¨The Snip¨), and in the afternoons I had a radio show on Corfu´s Life FM. Then, in the evenings I would entertain around the bars and clubs of the the Island. I left Corfu to work for an entertainments agency which took me to Majorca and Cyprus as an Entertainments Manager. I was head hunted in Cyprus by an agency that both trained and supplied entertainers for Thompson Holidays whom I went on to join as Entertainments Advisor, having 22 hotels to look after in Majorca, Minorca, Ibiza, Costa Del Sol, Tenerife, Cyprus, Rhodes and Corfu. I eventually went back to work in Cyprus to manage the entertainment for 2 hotels and an apartment complex, where I also had a morning magazine show on the hotel radio.
Due to ill health, I returned to the UK, but found the climate totally unsuitable. So, along with my wife Vicki, moved out to Puerto de Mazarron on the 1st April 2006 and joined Costa Calida Internatinal Radio that same month ...................................the rest as they say is history.

ROBBIE FRANCE
Robbie France (b. 1959) is an English Drummer, Producer, Arranger, Journalist, Music Educator, and Broadcaster.
Early life and career: Australia
I was born in Sheffied and emigrated to Australia in about 1970. I studied at the National Academy of Rudimentary Drummers in Australia until 1974, under tutor Harry Lebler, and aged only fifteen went on to teach at the Australian Academy of Music (1974–1975).
While living in and travelling around Australia, I formed the Jazz Fushion group, Carnival, performed at the Oz Jazz Festival, and supported John McLaughlin. I worked with Stevie Wright of the Easybeats, Marty Rhone, Ray Burgess and Tim Gaze as well as most major Australian artists. I amassed over 1,000 television, radio, and advertising credits, including eight documentaries and four film scores (including Band on the Run, one of the most successful surfing films ever made).
I left Australia in 1982 to return to England where I joined Diamond Head the following year. Part of the NWOBHM movement, they performed at Castle Donington Monsters of Rock then went on to record their third album Canterbury. I played on the hit single "Making Music".
In 1985 I toured and recorded with UFO, replacing Andy Parker. Leaving UFO in 1986, I formed One Nation with Kipper (now Sting´s producer). By now I was also teaching in drum clinics all over the world, from Australia to Scotland usually on behalf of the Avedis Zildjiian Cymbal company.
I set up a teaching studio in Kingston Upon Thames, where I worked with Gary O´Toole (a leading session musician), Hugo Degenhardt, Gary Wallis, Gary Ferguson, Mark Price, Tim Burgess, Mark Brzezicki and Chris Halford and many top drummers, helping them with their technique. I started writing for magazines in Australia, at the age of fifteen. During 1987, I began an acclaimed monthly column for the popular British drummer's magazine Rhythm.
In 1987 I joined Ellis, Beggs and Howard (E.B.H.), whose first single, "Big Bubbles No Troubles", won the Diamond Award for best new group. This was my favourite band. It consisted of Simon Ellis, Nick Beggs formerly with 1980s pop group Kajagoogoo, Austin Howard who is currently writing for Joss Stone and Paul Harvey of Prefab Sprout. They were described by one Scandinavian journalist as the world's best live band, and Austin Howard was constantly referred to as the black Mick Jagger. After E.B.H., in 1990 I joined Wishbone Ash with whom I toured and recorded the album Strange Affair. I then joined Anxious Records band, Pleasure, touring as support to the Eurythmics. By this time, however, I felt too drained to commit to any more touring or recording work.
In 1991, after working with Simon Ellis, East 17, D: Ream, S Club 7 and others), I returned to Australia to form a solo Jazz project, The Gab. In 1994 I returned to London, where I became a founder member of Skunk Anansie and recorded and co-produced their debut album Paranoid & Sunburnt. I co-wrote the hit track "Weak", which has since been covered by Rod Stewart. I also recorded the B-Side. "Army of Me", with Bjork. I left Skunk Anansie in 1995, joining the German group Alphavilla the next day. I toured and recorded with Alphaville until an accident in which I severed an achillies tendon. I lived in Poland for over two years, hosting my own radio programme, and appearing on numerous television shows. In 1998 I moved to Puerto de Mazarron, Spain, in order to concentrate on writing my first novel.
I now co-own/run Pulpo Negro Records, Pulpo Negro Publishing, Pulpo Negro Studios, GCBC Productions, with my partner, Tim Oldfield.
I have also produced the award-winning Spanish bands Second, Renochild, and Blue Aliens Temple, as well as Screw Coco. I also produced, wrote, and arranged for London based artist Keke,
Robbie.
GEORGIE BROWN
Hi I´m Georgie Brown
Join me Tuesday and Thursday nights from 7 to 10PM for Soul, Funk, R & B, Jazz and Blues. (Sponsored by )
I grew up in a multi racial part of London and learnt so much about different cultures and people, I believe I am fortunate.
I started in performing arts and sang with a couple of jazz funk bands, but that was many years ago, now days I dabble on a much smaller scale. I am classically trained in ballet but grew too tall to pursue this career. My infinity with jazz music is overwelming, from ragtime to fusion, acid, funky lounge and of course traditional. The fascinating thing about jazz music is you cam mix and match with al types of music.
I have 2 children from a previous marriage, Laz and Ellie. Ellie, Graham and myself live in the mountains with our 5 dogs, Laz lives in Watford, training to be a carpenter. I Cannot see myself returning to the UK to live as we have a little piece of paradise. I really couldn´t leave the sun.
At the radio, we all have a blast, and I am sure you would agree, plenty of characters.
Keep Listening.
Regards
Georgie Brown

Greetings
My name is Mark Davies and I host the ´Nite Express Show´ on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 7pm to 9pm, sponsored by The Davimar Bar, and Calida Blue Investments
I worked in the London Fire Brigade for 15 years until injury finished my career and then worked as a Computer Engineer prior to moving to Spain in November 2005 with my wife and triplet boys.
Musically, I was brought up with my mother avidly into Pop & Motown and my dad was totally into Blues and Jazz, giving me my love of all types of music. I hope the shows I present are not only enjoyable musically but informative as they seem to be very well received. I love presenting the shows and knowing people like the music played makes it worth its weight in gold.
If I can make one person happy with a particular track then I am doing my job.
Thanks for listening and keep tuning in.

PETER LILLEY
Presenter of Country Saturday and Sport report, also Midweek Country (Wednesday)
Born in Ipswich in 1943, the fourth of four sons, twice married with 1 daughter and 2 stepdaughters.
I attended local grammer school and left in 1960 to work in a local accountants office as a trainee. I moved after about 4 years to a shipping company as the book-keeper/accountant where I stayed for about 14 years before transferring to another shipping company, this time the Belgian National Shipping Line UK agent where I became Secretary and Director. I left in 1988 and started work for a local manufacturer of ceramics whose goods were sold worldwide and I was responsible for the accounts/warehouse distribution and transport.
In 2002 I married again, this time to Shirley and together we decided that a move to Spain would be worth investigating as we were both working ourselves into the ground and the lifestyle here was far more to our liking. We actually moved here in early 2004 and love the region and the friends we have made. Perhaps the only thing we miss, apart from the family, are the country festivals that we attended several weekends a year, seeing and hearing the very best of British Country and of course some International bands/singers.
My interest in country music goes back to the early 60´s and the sounds of Jim Reeves, Hank Williams, and listening to BBC Radio shows to keep up to date with the trends, an interest that has not faded over the years.
Peter.
DAMIEN SUGDEN
Presenter of The Late Shift (Sponsored by Muebles Cuatro Plumas) Friday 9-11pm, Saturday 7-11pm
Born in Manchester and raised in Heywood near Manchester, I grew up the second youngest of 9 kids (yes we are catholics!!!). I was raised listening to all kinds of music, especially Motown and Northern Soul, due to my older siblings hogging the radiogram!. The first record I ever bought was "Warhead" by the punk rock band "UK Subs", it was around this time (1978) that I discovered reggae music and my passion was forming.......
I moved to Mazarron in 2004, with my lovely wife Janice and even lovelier son Nathan, we bought a fantastic house in the Campo a year ago and have just about finished work on it. Our second son (Max) was born in May 2008. I have attended over 250 concerts and music festivals over the years, I have also been involved in the organisation of gigs from local bands in the Manchester area.
Prior ro presenting my show on Costa Calida International Radio - thanks for the opportunity Steve and Mandy- I had no prior experience. Only my love of music and my ambition to one day, sound like a proper DJ..................
I have been told that I have a voice for a Friday night late show ( compliment?) coupled with the fact that I also have a perfect face for radio, I should be alright!
Damien.

Hello pop pickers. My name is Chris Moisey new host of the Saturday memory lane show.
I was born in Oldbury in Worcestershire in 1959, but whisked off to
I was educated at
Growing up in the family furniture business, I started off as a van boy, and moved slowly up the ladder, until I chose to learn the flooring trade and specialized in all aspects of flooring, which was not only interesting but was a great success story for me for over 32 years.
After a short set back in life, I was working full time in the flooring trade, and had two of my four children Jon and Vicky, to bring up single handed, but fought through the difficult times, and even took on an evening job doing Karaoke/Disco at a local pub, which had a function room, that brought me in many events.
Being also a keen guitarist, I used to get up with the local Sunday band, and met three other people, with whom I used to sing with, and we were known locally as the fab four. We went to many music venues together, and that is when I found my passion for the entertainment industry.
Meeting Sue in 2003, we later married in 2007, and shared our passion for music, which we put into practice in 2008, forming our own duo, playing many covers from the 50s upwards to some of the music recently re-leased.
Moving to
After a brief chat with Stevie T, he agreed to allow me an opportunity to work at the station, which I have a great passion for and enjoy totally, which you will know by my enthusiasm.
Having retired from what was a hard but very rewarding life as a floorlayer, and teaching the trade to my son, I am happy my family are independent now, but if I could change one thing, it would be to have my children and grandchildren here with me.
I enjoy the live music Sue and I do, and also working with such a great bunch of newly found friends at the radio station.
Thanks for the opportunity Steve, glad to be part of a station that goes forward by the day.
And of course big hugs to all my sponsors and of course my listeners.
Chris (CJ the DJ)
