Stevie T
Hi, My name is Steve Tucker, host ot the Stevie T Morning Show.
SPONSORED BY THE MARKET TAVERN AND BEST OF SPANISH, I was born in
Manchester in 1954, and brought up in an area of Manchester called
Bradford, this area is now better known as the home of Manchester City
FC (Eastlands). After being educated at the local primary and grammar
schools, Bradford, I went on to take up an apprenticeship as a printer.
Mr first foray into entertainment was as a junior DJ at my local Youth
Club. In the early 1970´s, I got an interesting lunchtime job in one of
Manchesters' most (in) famous clubs at the time, 'Mr Smiths'. collecting
the clothes after the lunchtime strippers !!! , then secured a spot for
the evening cabaret and disco, Introducing and working with some of the
best disco stars of the early 1970's, (George McRae, Jimmy James and the
Vagabonds and The Drifters). When Mr Smiths closed down in 1974, I
formed Sounds Superb Mobile Disco in Manchester until I left and went to
Jersey in 1976, where I met my wife Mandy in 1977 in one of the local
disco's where I was working. We married in 1979 and had 2 children. I
reformed Sounds Superb Mobile Disco in Jersey in the 1980's and then
progressed to Sounds Superb Entertainments Agency in 1996, supplying
Singers, DJ's, Karaoke etc to the local hotels and bars. We left Jersey
in 2001 and came to Mazarron. In October 2004, I replied to an ad´in one
of the local papers for a presenter for the new English speaking radio
station which was going on air later that year. I secured the position
and became the first live presenter on Costa Calida International Radio
in November 2004. The next years saw the station go from strength to
strength and led to being the first compere for the newly inaugurated
Mazarron Beach Festival in 2005 and again in 2006. I, amongst others,
organised the Guatemala appeal in November 2005 and raised a tremendous
amount for this worthy cause. Late in 2006 brought the change in
Management of the radion station from the previous Spanish owners and
have proceeded to take it to another level where the local radio station
serves the needs of the local community. Many more projects are planned
for the future, so as they say .............................´´WATCH THIS
SPACE" Steve
